One of the first things you’ll notice about Cramer Woods is that it doesn’t feel like a brand-new subdivision.

Much of the neighborhood was developed between 2000 and 2018, creating a community that feels established without feeling dated.
Homes generally range from approximately 2,200 to more than 4,800 square feet and often feature four to six bedrooms, making the neighborhood appealing to growing families and buyers looking for additional space.
It’s the kind of neighborhood where people tend to stay.
Location Is One of Its Greatest Strengths
One of the reasons I like Cramer Woods is its location.
Within just a few minutes, you can reach:

- Downtown Belmont
- Goat Island Park
- Martha Rivers Park
- Interstate 85
- Charlotte Douglas International Airport
Whether you’re commuting into Charlotte or simply enjoy having restaurants, shopping, and outdoor recreation nearby, Cramer Woods puts you close to everything without feeling crowded.
A Connection to Gaston County History
The Cramer name has deep roots in Gaston County.
Stuart W. Cramer was one of the area’s most influential industrialists and engineers. He played an important role in the textile industry and in the development of what would eventually become the town of Cramerton.
Cramer was also an innovator in textile mill climate control and is credited with helping popularize the term “air conditioning.”
Today, his name remains visible throughout eastern Gaston County, including nearby Stuart W. Cramer High School.

Cramer Woods is made up primarily of single-family homes.
Depending on size, condition, upgrades, and location within the neighborhood, homes often occupy a higher price point than many other Gastonia communities.

Cramer Woods is one of those places.
It doesn’t always generate the attention of newer developments, but that’s part of its appeal.
The neighborhood has matured gracefully, offers excellent access to eastern Gaston County and Charlotte, and continues to appeal to buyers who prefer established communities over cookie-cutter subdivisions.
Sometimes the best neighborhoods aren’t the ones everyone is talking about.
They’re the ones people quietly move into—and don’t want to leave.
